Who's behind Roost?
We're Nik and Josie—two renters who got tired of feeling powerless about our living spaces. After years of scrolling design inspo with no idea how to make it work for our budgets or our rental agreements, we built Roost.
We're bootstrapping this because we care about the mission first. No venture capital. No $5,000 packages. Just a scrappy platform connecting people who need help with designers who want to build their portfolios—and yeah, we're still figuring it out as we go.
We're renters too. We get it: budgets are tight, and you're not sure how to pitch improvements to your landlord. That's why we'll arm you with negotiation tactics that highlight the win-win—longer leases, happier tenants, increased property value. Command strips are absolutely a design tool, and we're here to help you make your case for the bigger stuff too.
